Default Who has 5.13 with a auto???

Is it normal with new gears being 5.13 when I step on gas from a red light and my rpm jumps to 2 but comes down and skips into gears quick but settles around 45-50 mph? Is that normal?

Sounds pretty normal. How do you like the gears? I feel like I have better power and ease of driving. Gas milage improvement hasn't really been seen yet. How about yours?

I'm getting around 2400 rpms at 60mph. Used to be 1900 rpms at same speed. What are your 60mph rpms?

Yea def seems like more power just jumps gears quick so has a kick to it just didn't know if shooting off to 2000rpm until I settle at a speed was normal that prob don't help on gas. I haven't seen. Improvement unless I drive hwy going 65-70 but in town still sucks gas

Yea I have superchip as well. I programed it with gears and tires and all. I have 87 octane programmed. Now after I get gears done does a tire alignment mess with them at all? Yea just weird when I'm at stop sign or red light I'll ease the gas when turns green and rpm shoots up around 2 when I'm at about 20-25mph then it settles down to little above 1 and goes fine speeding up it's the take off seems little different to me I'm def afraid to slam pedal to grown cause rpm I bet u shoot up like crazy then come down. But seems like changes gears pretty quick on take off as well.

Doesn't sound too off norm, but double check your programing. In the Superchips the auto trans shift points are set by tire size so take a tape measure and determine the actual high of your tire.

My 35x12.5R17 KM2s aired to 28 PSI for daily driving and ~5000Kmi I've put on them measure in at a just over 34" actual height.

So with the quick shifting and the rpm jumping quick is a normal thing? I def will double check my programmer and measure tires of course

Holy mother of jeep tires! The tranny is programable!???? That rocks!!! I really get frustrated with how my jeep shifts. Especially downshifts. Makes me miss my manual transmission.

Wow. Who knew? Going to get a chip today. Friggn excited! Now, which one to buy????

I ran down to four wheel parts and bought the superchip flashpaq after I installed the performance tune I programed in the 35" tires and the 5.13 gears. Downshift is no longer insane and the jeep is much more pleasant to drive.

I did the AEV Procal, about $139., not a performance enhancer, but reprograms for gear and tire size. Made a big difference in making my rig feel "normal".
