Default Who likes their Bilstein shocks?

I have the OME LT's right now and while they're a very nice shock, they're just a little too soft for me.

The OME and Bilstien shocks are apples and oranges.

The OME are low pressure nitrogen and will be softer than most shocks

The Bilstien are very high pressure and will be one of the firmest shocks

Hope this helps

Like David said they are apples to oranges. I'd say the Bilsteins (we have the 5100) are good shocks if they are valved for the JK. Off the shelf are not so be careful. I was told by Mel (Off Road Evolution) that the Rubicon Express are actually Bilsteins valved to the JK so you might want to look at those as well.

My impression are they are a good shock (had them on my lifted 2500HD) but under some extreme instances they pack up. We live close to ocotillo wells in the Anza Borrego desert we do a lot of washboards (whoop-de-doos) and after a long series at speed they tend to pack up. Saving up for a set of Kings or coilovers

Just a heads up Bilstien now has the proper valved shocks.

I installed Bilsteins last week and replaced the superride shocks from superlift. Even though it is rather firm, its a much nicer ride than the superlift....I'd certainly recommend them.
