You might want to look at the Injen. The filter is enclosed and has a wire screen over the intake openings to keep the big stuff out. I have one ready to install, just waiting for the temp to warm up as I don't have a garage and it has been so cold lately. I am also going to install a CAT back together with this and run a dyno to see what the gains are produced with both. I have been unable to find any pre & after install dyno results.

I like the sound of the large tube to carry the clean air in to the engine. But if the air box is "well in-closed" how much extra air could it let in? I guess I would want to know where the banks system pulls the air from?

Google images is no help at all.

Well, I can't find any images of the back or sides of the banks box. There isn't much in the way of water crossings where I go but maybe I'll wait until Rugged Ridge snorkel comes out.
I just hate how choked my engine gets when I get up in the hills.

I like they way that one brings the air in to the engine. Dry filter is a plus too.
about $250 looks to be the best price I've found so far.
