Just out of curiosity, is there concern of the brakes overheating with the solid wheel design? I like the look, but living where it gets to 115+ in the summer, I don't want the risk of the brakes getting hotter than they already do, and if it's harder for them to cool down after being used, then I want to stay away from these at all cost.

I spoke to stockton about this. They say this is a fairy tail. Only if you are racing with these wheels, you may have some overheating problems. Overheating requires severe and continuous braking.
This is a really old thread. Not sure anyone can answer. I have something close on my Gladiator. But they are made of alloy (not steel) and have narrow slots around the edge for ventilation.
On the Gladiator. Yeah, I use my Gladiator off road.
