Any balancing issues? How do you like them? Would you buy them again? Are you going to stud them for winter (main selling feature for me)

I'm just about to buy them in a 315-75R16 to wrap a set of AEV Bridgers

One of the few good studdable tires I found at a decent price in Canada.

Maxxis makes great tires.
As for the big horns, most of the rental Jeeps in MOab run them and they hook up very well in any of the terrain in that area. I'd say it is a good choice.
Keep in mind that a radial Creepy Crawler is on the way and the Trepador is already made in radial.....if you want more aggressive.

I'm running the Maxxis buck shots and like them so far. 9,000 miles and holding up good so far, except for the cuts and gouges from the rocks, lots of rocks!

I had Maxxis BuckShot Mudders and I loved them! I wanted to go with the Bighorns, but no one local had them when I bought my 35"s so I just went with some cheeps ones, but I really wish I holded off and waited for the Bighorns. Ry (2k2wranglerx) ran them for a while and he wheeled his hard and had no issues with them, I know he loved those tries.

If you could choose between Bighorns or Pro COmp M/T's at about the same price, which would you go for?

I get the Bighorns personally. I would bet the rubber in the Maxxis tires is better quality and you would get more life out of them.

I have the bighorns... if you live in the snow, you can install studds on them as well. Have had BFGs on my other jeep. Haven't notice any real difference between the two.
