don't know about the 40's but my buddy has them in 37's on his dodge and he said the ones he has are terrible to balance. He used own his own shop and still has a upper end Hunter tire machine.

I've been running those in 37s on mine now for 25k miles and have had no balancing issues. I have run just about every tire imaginable and these are my favorite. Quiet and great off road!

Not running 40's but just little 315/70/17 (35's) for about 7K miles and so far I really like them

Not much road noise and they took very little weight to get balanced plus so far they are wearing really good.

Have been to Moab several times along with many trips up to the high country trails with them and hav'nt chunked them up.

Good in the wet and decent in the snow.
