Default Why did i bust again

Hi Guys and girls,

I busted the right front stub shaft yesterday while wheelin on a trail that had water running down it. Why the heck am i busting these? I should be busting u-joints and not at the point where the stub shaft going into the u-joint.

Any ideas would be great.

Pictures will be here after a bit as i have to get parts.

i'm assuming that you're still running a set of factory shafts? if so, they are thin/weak even on the d44's. i am running a set of alloyusa chromo shafts now and can tell you that they are beefed up to the point where they look like d60's. superior's chromo shafts use 760 joints and so the shafts get beefed up and the joint will go before the shaft.

holy crap, i guess i didn't read your original post carefully enough and now see that you are talking about the shaft itself is breaking

either way, new chromo shafts will not have this problem and i would recommend that you pick up a set.

I honestly would not call my wheelin better, just maybe harder and farther and maybe with more recklessness. But I wheel RubyDoo almost every weekend as well. BTW if any of you get a chance to run The Tahyula trails near Northridge 4x4, i did them all in 2wd as i was trying to challange my self.
