Default Why no 2 low for non rubicon

What is the reason the teraflex kit won't work in the non rubicon models? Really interested in getting the 2 ol in my 16 sport.

They each have a different transfer case

2.72 in the sport

4.0 in the Rubi

I understand they are different cases and have different gear ranges. But from what it looks like to me the teraflex kit modifies what the shifter/shift fork is doing inside of it. Being the main differences between the cases are the gear ratio it doesn't seem that hard to me to make a product that would work the same way. I mean most chain driven cases work the same basic way and I would assume the 241 and 241OR are both chain driven.

There's must be a difference or the kit would work on both. My guess why there isn't one is:

1: It's not as easy as the Rubicon case for some reason... or

2: There's not a strong enough perceived market for it.

That's prob what I'll end up doing is calling teraflex if they won't give me a straight answer I'll just buy a used sport trade and start looking.

The cases are definitely different, it may have something to do with that.

Cases are different primarily because of the larger set of planetary gears for the input on the Rubi TC....

OP should just call Teraflex....

That's an awful expensive solution considering this one could prob be made for a few hundred bucks at a machine shop.
