I am thinking about getting a wilderness trail rack for '12 Rubicon and need to get some dimensions from some one who has one. I need to know the distance from the uppermost bolt hole that mounts to the tailgate to the underside of the rack supports......I want to make sure it will clear my spare on my smittybilt bumper/tire carrier. Any help will be appreciated.....also .....how do like the wilderness rack?

 

I finally got a response from Garvin Industries- the makers of the rack....

they state that it is 17" from the upper mounting hole to the underside of the rack in case anyone else is wondering.

I would still like to hear from anyone that has a trail rack -- how do you like it?
