I have decided to go with a 3" Teraflex suspension, 35X12.50x15 BFG krawlers and Procomp 15x8 steel wheels (5 on 5). These wheels have a backspacing of 3.75".

My question is this, will these wheels fit over the break calipers or is rubbing likely? 15 inch wheels and tires are so much cheaper than 17's;I would like to go that route if possible.

 

I believe that these will fit. Just do a little digging around the forum, and you'll find info. Search also for Cragar Soft 8s.

i was told by a friend of mine that works at discount tire that 15"s will not fit cause of the bigger brakes

 

Some 15" wheels will fit, some won't. I personally wouldn't run them. Even if you find one that fits correctly, who knows what happens when you get the brakes nice and hot and things start expanding, or when you're flexing everything on a trail.
