Will 2011 JK's ever get a tuner?
^Relax, it'll be cracked one day. If not then the '12's and up wont have a tuner either since it also uses the same ECU. SC just needs to o what many have suggested and post the code online, particularly a security code forum. Would be cracked in weeks I'd say if not sooner

Well....old thread I know, but I had to comment again. I spoke to a rep from superchips and he told me that it's likely that there will never be a tuner for any Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Mopar product 2011 or newer. There is no code to "crack". The ECU used in 2011 or newer Mopar products uses a "rolling code". That is: every time you turn the key, the code for the ECU changes. So unless the tuner gurus can figure out how to disable that, or tune the ECU "in front" of that rolling code, the tuner will never happen.
For me, I'm giving up on the tuner idea and going to pop for the cash to change my gears. Put 35's on my 2011 JK unlimited right after i bought it (I have 4:10 gears now - stock) and it turned into even MORE of a gutless wonder than what it already was. I'm going to go to 5:13's and then start saving like crazy so I can buy a Hemi.

Well, we know it can be done because every dealer can read and modify drive train parameters. In effect, the dealer has a "tuner" provided by the factory. Its probably just a matter of time until the proprietary information leaks out.
All kidding aside, what kind of people are they employing to crack the ECU? I hope computer programmers or better yet a 12 year old Ukranian.
This sort of thing really pisses me off. If Chrysler doesn't want us to be able modify our vehicles, at least at the computer layer, then I guess I didn't really buy my vehicle for $40000 but rather just a software license to use it.
i have a 2011... did the rpm extreme 2010 ecu swap.. took couple mins.. now i can use any 07-10 programmer... simple solution. plus you can still keep your stock ecu and pop it back in if you need to for any reason.
