I have the TF 2.5 coil lift, and waited about 6 months to get the TF ADJ LCA's and they were totally worth it. The LCA's coupled with an ADJ front trackbar makes my front end feel much more stable on the road. Hit up bustabizz from 4wd here on the forum, he gave me a great deal.

Nobody can say whether you will or will not have issues with the driveshaft hitting the corner of the tranny and ripping the boot. Too many variables. Just a heads up based on your setup and lots of previous experience from board members. Look around and you'll see that people are ripping that boot with as little as 2.5" of lift.

Soooo, after you get it all installed, flex and check before you hit the trails.
Figured out today that it isn't the tranny I have to worry about, it's the tranny crossmember. So probably going to have to change the drive shaft anyways. Oh well, what's another $500.

See post 6 in the thread I linked. Short term 'fix' until you get around to a new front shaft.

My dads is a rubicon automatic. We removed the skidplate crossmember it has a 4 " lift and 37" mtrs the driveshaft gets close to the transmission pan but only at full flex with the passenger side front tire stuffed into the fender Has not had a problem yet Here are a couple pics not fully flexed tho

A few questions:
Was he still connected, or are the shocks kinda short? (that doesn't look like a lot of flex with 4" coils.)
Is the front axle centered?
Those tires are tucked way back in the wheel wells. How does he turn with 37's and that little backspace without rubbing everything inside the wheel well?

As mentioned above, there are a lot of variables involved in whether the driveshaft rubs. My guess it that your fathers just hasn't rubbed 'yet'...

subscribing, now you have me wondering if my Jeep is set up OK or if it needs a bunch of ADDITIONAL parts.

Not to hyjack, but I haven't notice any problems while flexing, (certainly doesn't mean they don't exist)

I would like to move my rear axle back & align my diff with my rear driveshaft. Seems like I could accomlish this by extending my upper control arms. Only problem I see is that the spring perches will not line up anymore.

How do you change the angle of your diff without cutting off your spring perches & re welding them on???

Thanks

Yep, the skid will gouge the driveshaft, the corner of the tranny will destroy the boot. Both issues need to be addressed if you stick with the stock driveshaft.
