I was going to put a 285/70/17 on my stock 11 JK will this fit witout rubbing or will i have to get backspacers? keep in mind i go wheeling every weekend just about..

I asked the same question next week and the summary is a 33 inch tire (which your 285/70/R17 is) will do just fine without rubbing. You can pull this off without lifting too.

I'm still fairly new to offroading so I'll have to let the veterans talk about full tilt hardcore stuff and whether a 33 incher will get you by.

I'm running 285/75/16's on 16x8 wheels with a 4" BS on stock suspension. Daily driving is no problem, but on the trails with the wheel turned and some flex I rubbed the flairs. Not enough to worry, but over time it might be. I'm thinking about modding the fenders if I don't get a lift soon.
