Default Will I have problems. stock tires and wheels
I have a stock unlimited sahara. Looking at getting new wheels and wanting 18's because I want to swap stock tires over for now. The stock rims are 7.5inch wide. The rims im looking at are 9 inch wide. Now most places I look online say that my stock tire size is not recommended on a 9 inch wide wheel. Will this work or should i be trying to find a 8.5inch wide wheel for my stock tires.

You're fine to do it. Folks do this all the time with the rubi tires on their new 17x9 wheels.

Not recommend but will work, if you want 9 inch wide rims for the future tires then I would say go for it.
