Default Will I need to change the gears

Will I have to change the gearing for the speedometer when changing from my stock tires (225/75R16) on x steel wheels to 32'' tires?

Default speedo calibration

Regearing not necessary but your computer will need to be flashed for the new tire size otherwise your speedo will be off. I think the dealer can flash upto the 255/75R-16. Won't be perfect but will be close.

i can't believe that a dealer wouldn't charge you to re-flash your computer to adjust your speedo. if you don't your speedometer and odometer will both be off. you'll just have to keep that in mind if you don't change it

The modification of the wheel size is more than 3%. Therefore, yes you will have to pay.

Your actual size is: 29.28"

It's possible you may need to regear. What gears do you have now? With that short a tire, you may have 3.21s. If so, you will definately notice a difference.

It depends on the dealer. Mine doesn't. But most are blood thirsty villians.

you will not need to have your speedo calibrated for the tire change as they are essentially the same. no tire measures what is listed on the sidewalls
