Will this set up work?
I am pretty new to the JK platform. My knowledge with offroad is with Toyota and the Jeep XJ. I have been researching since I bought my 2016 2 door rubicon with bald highway tires 2 years ago. My goal is street able and mild to moderate offroad in Upper Michigan. My ultimate goal was 2.5 to 3 inch Metalcloak or JKS lift but I won't be able to afford that for a while. I have been collecting used parts I've been able to get at an absolute steal of a price over the last two years. I think this set up will work just looking for opinions for people experienced with the JK. I have everything except tires and was leaning towards 295/75r17 to run for a few years till I can get my lift and 35s.

I'm a little confused on the list. What's throwing me is you want to put in Rubi springs but are saving for a 2.4 to 3 inch lift - which would have new springs, right? Or is this a "can afford now" list with an eye to the future?
Looks like a reasonable build. The 295/75r17 seem like a good bridge to eventual 35x12.5r17 tires. The Rubicon sliders are easy to trim - easier if you take them off first. They can take a beating. Best of all you already have them. You may need to do some pinch seam work too when you get your 35's.
I'm a recovering Yooper, so when I see "Upper Michigan" I think of the trolls (the people who live below the Mackinac Bridge in the "mitten"). When they say "Upper Michigan" or "Northern Michigan" they usually aren't thinking of anything above the top of the mitten. I'm guessing that since you are in Wisconsin, you really mean "Upper Peninsula", right? Where do you like to go up there? I grew up near the Porcupine Mountains.

The Upper Peninsula would have been a better term to use. Actually the U.P. was why I bought my JK. I only got to explore a fraction of the U.P. I had a crew cab Ram before and the trails were a bit too narrow for that truck. I really did like the Houghton/Hancock area. My girlfriend really liked the area around Munising, probably cause she really enjoyed Pictured Rocks. Lol
I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with a 2.5 inch lift. I have a very serious death wobble if I hit a pothole even at 35 mph. I was thinking it might be the track bar? Has anyone else went through the something that has the same year make and model by any chance.
