here is a good read. I personally run the xrc and it has held up very well for me so far. This one was not tested and have always been curious how it would have lasted. I think most of my buddies have different winches and none of us have had a problem (engo, smitty, warn). Of that shootout above the t-max seems pretty awesome.
thank you ive read that before, but doesnt have smtyy bilt and recon..

I loved my Smitty x8 flipped jeeps over with it...never gave me an issue

Warn same thing g worked great

Snagged a bulldog 9.5 last night I'm going to run for now looking to get a comeup seal soon.

I don't need high line speed when someones flipped a slower unit is usually more controllable and when I get stuck rare but when it happens its usually bad and i don't care if I'm pulling slow or fast just that I'm pulling and getting UNSTUCK.

Each winch will have pros and cons but I dont race backwoods or KOH and don't pull a ton daily so any quality winch is fine....harbor freight winches actually have some pretty good reviews as well....despite the HF affiliation.

I have a smittybilt x20 8 and I've only used it once but it certainly did the trick! If you plan on mounting it in an AEV front the wires will press on the grill and a cover is nearly impossible but the functionality is definitely there.. Oops old thread...
