+1.

A used Warn will probably be similar in price to a new winch from another brand.

What about those synthetic lines... any good ?

And how do you prevent your steel lines from rust ???

I don't think Superwinch is still including a snatchblock.

I was on the fence between Superwinch and Warn, ended up with Warn M8000 when I was able to buy at a Jeep show for under $500. I don't think you'd go wrong with a Superwinch EPi9.0

I really like my synthetic line. Much safer than steel if it ever breaks, you can splice it on the trail if you need to, easier to handle, and lighter.

It will set you back a couple pennies though, and you need to be very careful of abrasion when running synthetic.

What makes a Warn 9.5ti so good? It seems way (~$500 according to Warn's website) more expensive than the M8000. It's hard to believe 1500lbs is worth $500. Is there something more to it?

No external solenoid, and it has a thermostat built in - it will warn you when it's getting too warm.

Default Ramsey 9500 with synthetic line

I have the Ramsey 9500 with a synthetic line. They had a special, so I could order it with the synthetic line, and not have to buy the line separately and replace the steel cable. I works great, and has saved me from sliding sideways off a cliff.

I know my Powerplant was pricey. But eventhough I know I won't use the winch on every trip I use the air everytime. Its pretty fast too.

I have a Superwinch Epi 9. Works awsome. No problems yet. I'm not really a fan of Warn winches. Just my 2 cents.

I got a superwinch lp8500, the verdict is still out, it was cheap though. I dont want to get stuck and have it not work, Mike at superwinch has been a great help.
