Question Winch+Air, worth it?

Anybody running a winch and compressor combo? If so, which one seems best? Which one seems worse? Trying to avoid a rather expensive mistake here.

Or should I just spend more money and get a good winch and seperate air compressor? Each will be used as little as possible; emergency use only and not constant duty.

Well iam running the Warn Powerplant and have NO REGRETS.

I had thought of bying a Winch (Warn) and then running a seperate Air System. After priceing everything out the Powerplant made more sence. Plus I did'nt have to find a mounting place for the air system.......

Just my 2cents.

If it was me. I would go winch. And then on board air compressor. From reading on here WARN power plant is a good choice for the combo. But that was out of my price range.

Only one downfall to the Warn Powerplant if the motor fails you have No winch AND NO air. When one breaks they both break.

I was going to buy the Warn Powerplant but then decided to separate the 2 and I have the Viair Heavy Duty Onboard Air kit and will be getting a winch once the front bumper is purchased..

I do not have one (yet) but the warn powerplant is awesome. KNow several with them, and its really a best of both worlds.

the only other one is the smittybilt right? I dont even think its out yet...

I've had the powerplant for over two years, its great!

minimal issues with it, but Warns customer service has taken care of everything fast.

If you're thinking of having separate winch and compressor : Im not normally a Smittybilt fan, but have been very impressed their dually air compressor, approx $160 from 4wd.com

I have a regular winch and an air compressor under the hood that runs my ARB lockers. I can also air up my tires with it. I dont believe you can run lockers with the Warn Power Plant, but i think it pumps up tires faster.
