Winch comparison and a couple questions about them
I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I tried searching for th thread that compared th different winches and couldn't find it.
I'm looking to spend around the area of $500 for a winch. I was on quadratec and saw the warn and rugged ridge winches. I know warn has an outstanding reputation, and the warn m8000 is looking nice w/ that remote control option. Are there any other brands you guys would reccomend?
My reason for getting a winch is b/c I recently got stuck in a mud pit and screwed my transmission up pretty bad b/c of flooding, and lack of knowledge on how to get unstuck (that won't happen again, i'll do my homework this time haha)
How well will they work under water and mud?
How good is a remote system?
Are synthetic lines better?
Should I really avoid Chinese products? (You get what you pay for mentality)
