the Super winch model I have is discontinued and was replace with the new Talon series. I have the EPi 9.0s, it's a 9000 pound winch with synthetic rope and originally costed me $800. I know that amazon still has some of the discontinued models (EPi9.0) on sale without the synthetic rope. The Superwinch Talon series are submersible, the other models are not. I've had my Jeep so deep in mud that it came all the way up to the door handles and it had no problems pulling me out.

I've researched and found out that the difference between the new Talon series from superwinch and the 1 they discontinue is very slight, no real notable changes except for the name. Amazon still has the EPI Series on sell for $716 and the new Talon series for $799, the only thing is that they both come with steel cables instead of the synthetic rope.

That sounds like a nice setup but there is quite a large price difference between the engo and superwinch.

Do some searching online for the Epi.9.0. They have been discontinued, but you can find some great deals on them if you can find them. They are great winches
