I know winches can get expensive but don't get a cheap one. M8000 warn $579 on quadratec... I'm sure there are other companies with the same price. I have the M8000 and it has been tried and true for many many years!!! I thought long and hard before making a decision but the reviews kept pointing to the warn And my Winch has been great in action

My two cents

GOOD LUCK

It was a tough one for me deciding warn mile Ramsey and smitty . I ended up getting the xrc 10. I figured I only wheel 3-4 times a year and it would do just fine. Now if I was able to wheel more I would have gotten a warn. Plus there was a deal on 4wd that helped in aiding my decision,20% off and free shipping. So far I've been happy with it.

i would reather have a hi lift jack and a snach block than a cheap winch.

warn or ramsey would be my only choice (maybe mile marker but never had one). i have a powerplant and it is the best winch i have ever had. i have had two m8000 on different jeeps and they both worked like champs with never a problem. the ramsey i had was also a very good winch and not a problem either. i preffer warn.

I've had the XRC 10 for about a year and half. Only used it about half dozen times to help out other stranded wheelers (not for myself yet), and it has worked fine. Just my 2 cents.

I just pulled a YJ up a steep hill with no issues on my XRC10. I did have to buy a replacement controller for the stupid thing, but it pulls strong. The only operational piece that sucks is in/out with no load is slow as heck.

I had the xrc 10, for a year. It did its job at first. After one year the solenoid was completely rusted, contacts broken off and all. Three unanswered emails and two un-returned calls to Smittybilt. Two monts later...TWO months later, got a reply to the email telling the price of the new solenoid. Smittybilt sucks in product and customer service. I would not take another one if it was free. Save a few hundred more dollars and get the warn 8000 and a snatch block....
