Default Winch Help

I am in the market for a winch..one that is on the lower end of the price scale but very functional. I do light trail riding and nothing hard core. I won't use the winch enough to shell out tons of money Warn..does anyone recommend the Quadratec branden winches? It seems like several jeep accessory catalogue company's use their brand on a Generic winch...I was also wondering about those..help!

I like my Smittybilt XRC8 so far for the limited use it gets. Picked it up for under $300. However...I do regret not going with the waterproof version, for an extra $150, only because I tend to go through some high water sometimes. The peace of mind would be worth the extra $$$ (after the fact of course)
