Default Winch Questions

What should be my main concern for new winch purchase?? Horsepower line speed, the gear reduction ratio or what.... I like the price of summit's 10,000 lb.unitand gear reduction is 218:1..... But Im not sure what is most important.......... Thanks Folks

honestly, it just depends on your needs. line speed in important, but i would be more concerned with the capacity.

I was most concerned with line speed without using much amps. I decided on the warn 9.5ti thermometric.

I also bought the powerplant for the same reasons.

but it isnt nearly as fast as the 9.5ti or the XP. It'll get the job done
however. It weights 100 lbs, about 11 pounds more than the other winch's
