Default Winch safety strap

So my winch came with a safety strap and like most that came with their winches, it was a piece of crap.

It got sun bleached in a matter of a week, and got beat up from the elements, and started to tear soon after.

I looked online and while they do sell safety straps, I was unsure of the quality, material used and (not to sound girly) lack of colors available.

So I made myself a new strap.

Materials:

-Tubular Military-Spec wedding (4,000# break strength)
-Looped and box stitched.

Here is the old vs the new. The old one looks pink!!!

Just the feel of the nylon is so above what came with the winch. Since it's mil spec it should be UV resistant and have far better abrasion resistance and last a long time.

And the fact that I can do just about any color has my friends wanting me to make them some to.

Good idea on the paracord! That stuff seems to be pretty strong and weather resistant as well.
