When adding synthetic line to a new winch, what is the best way? How tight should the line be on the winch?

I have heard the method of hooking up to anchor point, and then just winching the jeep...don't have the room for that though

Any help would be appreciated

 

U can do it by hand as long as you have enough tension on the line. Its easier with 2 people

 

Where do you live that you dont have 50' available for 30 minutes to winch your jeep up to a pole or tree? Grab a buddy and head to Walmart! Dumpsters and light poles galore there!

 

I use parking lot light poles, do first wrap by hand and then winch in with light brake resistance. Seems load properly and no problems yet in using winch on big pulls.

 

I live in South Florida...being you are from the Midwest I dont guess you are familiar with the attitudes of people here. People like to piss and moan about anything that doesnt fit their ideas

 

LMAO, good stuff! Yeah, it isnt just them though. The Blue Hairs are bad enough, but you will get some dumbass who will say they need to drive right where I am winching....then the pistolas start flying.
