Default Window Tint

I recently decided to get my front windows tinted in my JKU to match my rear tint. I had it done at a replicable local shop. When I picked the JK up, it had some bubbles as there were particles behind the tint. I complained about the bubbles and they made me an apt to re-tint the windows. Since then I have had my windows re-tinted 3 times as there were always particles behind the tint that I was unhappy about. I finally spoke with the owner of the business and he said Jeeps are harder to tint because the inside of the windows, where the windows slide up and down in, have many tiny fibers/felt in them. And no matter how hard they try to clean the particles off the windows, some will always find their way onto them while tinting. Does anyone believe this story? I just think its crappy tinting. Thanks all!

I've had my front doors tinted on every vehicle for 30 years. This guy is full of crap. I just had my '12 tinted three days ago, which dried out perfectly, as did my 2010, my 2007, my 2003, my 1999. . . As with everything else, it's about quality materials and workmanship and experience. Seems like your guy is lacking in a couple of those points.

I'd find another place if I were you. Good luck...

I knew a guy who had a mobile tint van and he came to my place and did it in my garage. I thought it came out great. I call bs on his statement but I might of got off lucky with no loose fibers floating around. Went with 5%
