Window Tint
rballman,
No need to pull the door panels. I just did mine over the weekend and it came out great. Just make sure you clean the hell out of the windows before applying.
I did pull the rubber window channel after letting them down completely. This allows you to get your angle cut around the top and front slant (tip - make your cut on the outisde of the window before peeling off the back) as well as getting the paper as far as possible to the windows edge so that it doesn't pull off.
Finish the tint and let sit overnight before putting the molding back on. It's a little stubborn but not impossible. Just take your time.
BTW - make sure the window is all the way down when putting back on the rubber mold (don't know if I needed to tell you that or not).
Good Luck

Alright so what is the best solution on getting window tint for a soft top 2-door? On ebay I have seen precut solutions that I guess you just stick on yourself and I have seen actual window replacements for sale too.
The precuts are around $30 and the actual windows are around $300. What do you guys recommend??

I too have wondered if there is a tint solution to the soft upper doors!
Anybody do this successfully yet?
Bill
You can try using RIT dye to dye your windows however I do recommend being very careful with the dye. It is for dyeing clothing however it can be used for dyeing plastics as well. You can do a search on several hobby forums for dyeing plastics with this dye. Good luck.
