Default Winter Zipper Protection

I live near Buffalo, Ny with some pretty tough winters. The road salt used cakes up on the zipper pulls and then the whole zipper gets seizes up. Can anyone recommend how to protect the zippers in the winter? PLEASE HELP. THANKS1

They make zipper wax. Lubes and protects. Used to be able to buy from any fabric store. Looks like an opaque crayon.

Mr. Zoggs Sex Wax. Cheap, and been using it for years. May be hard to find in buffalo, though.

honeslty crayons would even work in a pinch, i use surf wax from my buggy boards, any wax will work just make sure its caked on there enough. its what we use on our zippers on our drysuits and wet suits in the coast guard.

I used to use cheap toothpaste, wait that was for anti fog on the windows.

For the zippers I used a cheap bar of soap. Worked fine and can be picked up anywhere.

lol This is the only way my Jeep ever got clean, toothpaste, bar soap, shampoo, files, clippers.... Huh seems a Jeep is just like a woman, spend tons of money on it wit little return and hoping it gives you a good time and turns out it's occasionally. Although the Jeep doesn't get upset if you have more than one.

Seriously though the soap worked pretty good for me. For an area like you live i would suggest caking it on pretty good so the salt sits on the surface of what ever you use.
