Default Woods Tailgate Strut and Tuffy Security Deck

Does anyone have both of these products installed? I'm trying to figure out if these products are compatible. Thanks!

I'm hoping so, I put in the deck last night and will try to install the strut this weekend - for sure it will not install as per instructions. I'll need to figure out if it's better to cutout the deck or install the strut on the deck side.
If anyone has any suggestions before I choose the wrong option, I'm all ears.

Make sure you post some pictures if you come up with something. From pictures I have looked at, it appears that the deck lid and the strut sit at about the same height which is a problem. I was hoping the strut would tuck under the deck lid.

i have both installed...

before the tuffy security deck i had the woods strut installed to the body as per instructions...

got the tuffy deck and installed the strut to the passenger side wall of the security deck...its been on since sept. and works perfectly fine. i was only able to use two of the three holes on the strut bracket to mount to the security deck wall. the strut sits below the top lid and doesnt hit or interfer when opening and closing the rear door.

when installing the strut you are going to have to mount the passenger side wall measure and mark (twice) then remove and drill...i then installed the two front most screws with bolts facing into the enclosure and re installed the wall...once the enclosure was inplace i reconnected the strut...

no visible warping of the enclosure and everything is ok on the door...

Did it over the weekend, you have to cut the deck but all works out great! I love both of these products.
