Default Is this worth it

I am saving up for a rear bumper and was wondering if http://www.quadratec.com/products/22202_1001.htm was worth getting to help with the weight of a 35 and steel rim.

looks more like a gimmic and waste of $ more than anything, but for 30 bones heck give it a shot. worst case scenario remove your carrier and mount ur spare in the jeep until you can afford or make the carrier you want.

x2

I've been running my 35 on the factory bracket for awhile now. However, what I've found with my previous jeeps is... if you "wheel" your jeep pretty hard it will start to crack the back gate around the bolts.
I say keep the $30 and put it towards a bumper mounted tire carrier.

For 30 bucks, I guess it is worth a shot. If it does work, it will be worth it.

After reading the add, I would save your 30 bucks, I cant see how this would take any of the weight off of the hinge area? It looks like it would just re-inforce the middle of the tailgate a bit.

I know i already posted, but i forgot to mention its not the tailgate your worried about its the welds that hold the thing on. That bracket isnt going to help your robot welds. I just bought the rancho bumper. CHeap, works, and i actually like it.
