Default Would bumper weight effect tire clearance?

So, my plan to not mod has officially gone out the window. Took 3 months so Im proud of myself for showing some maturity and waiting...

Anyway, Im planning things out right now and ran across this question. Im wanting to squeeze 35s on with a 2.5" or so lift kit/bb if possible. I know the tires will fit, but Im also planning to upgrade the front/rear bumpers to the RR XHD and run a winch up front also. I wondered if the added weight from the bumpers/winch would effect the tires fitting since they would already be tight?

Would it be better to look at say the Rough Country 3.25" lift, or the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift and add some .75 spacers on top of that?

I appreciate the help. Just trying to get things figured out.

Had about the same setup a while back. Only rubbed when flexed out. Front wheels only when turned. The rear would hit the bottom of wheel well and rock rail. Wheeled a little hard started poping all the molding clips....... I don't roll with fender flairs anymore. If you aren't going to flex it out that much you sould be fine though.

So I should be ok with just a 2.5" TF BB?

After looking around last night, I figured I could do the 2.5" TF coil lift with some of their .5" spacers on top for 3" of total lift and that would take care of any possible issues. But of course would prefer to spend as little as possible.

Default tire clearance

Yes - the bumper will sink the suspension. That is why they make the spacer leveling kits.

if you do the 2.5" coil lift, you will be more than ok, as that lift will get you closer to 3 1/4 - 3.5"s. with the BB, you will be right at 2.5". either way, you can add spacers. i am running the Tf 2.5" coil lift and added .5" to the rear and 1" to the front when i swapped my front and rear bumpers and added a heavy winch. with the BB, you may end up having to use thicker spacers after adding bumpers, but its the same concept.

you wont need to add the thicker spacers at all to run 35s with the coil lift, depending on your wheeling style and how much flex you want/need or just to get back the lost lift.

Ditto. It mostly depends on your lift springs. For instance, my OME HD coils did not sag at all with an XHD stubby and a winch.

I am sure someone on here has the setup you are looking for already and will know for sure

Bumper weight has nothing to do with tire clearance. Not having the proper bumpstops is what causing rubbing issues with larger tires.
