If you go with 33's on stock rims, plan on Spidertrax to clear the sway bar, and 3/4 leveling spacer to clear the air dam. (may still rub once sway is disco'd) Aprx spending another $250. If you plan on 35's and stock rims in the future, you'll need the spidertrax anyway.

For price purposes, it would be far cheaper to buy some Rubi take-offs from a member here.

Here's some crappy pics with 33's and spacers. I was waiting on posting better pics until I get my 3/4" spacers on.

Good luck with the decision.
Love the picks. Your jeep looks great. And thanks.

I love the 33's. They are noticablly bigger and I can keep my stock 4.10 gears without a significant power loss. I added a 1.75" lift and I think the Jeep looks perfect now. Overall it raised the Jeep almost 2.50" over stock.

Husky~

As far as picking up Rubi wheels, I thought of that but wanted to go with a black rim. I like the combo with the red.
I like the black/red combo too. I've got the red X and ordered some 16" black Pro Comp Rock Crawlers with 4.5 backspacing a few days ago. I'm gonna put Goodyear LT285/75R16's on em. I've also orded some new Project-JK decals in black and will be taking off all of the silver ones that are on it now

I ordered 17x8 4.5bc ProComp 7089's on ProComp Xtreme MT 285/70r/17 tires.Reversed mounted so you don't see the white letters.

I plan on debadging my Jeep this weekend when it gets a little wamer up here in the northeast.

The rims are on back order and should take a month to get.

I'm doing 33's and black pro comps on my rig just waiting for them to come in. I also like the black rim look. I have the red rock and i've seen pics here and it looks good so I know the flame red should look good as well. I took all of the silver decals off and going with all black decals. Should look good.

Default Just bought 33s

I just bought 33s and the Pro Comp 7089 16x8 (Black-Cast Blast), I am going with the Firestone Destination MT 285/75/16. I am keeping my old stock wheels for the winter with the 265/75/16 Firestone Destination ATs. (They use a crap load of salt here). I am not going with any spacers since the Pro Comps are 4.5" of backspacing. I will see if it rubs then decide if I want the Day Star 3/4 or 1/3/4". I just don't want the thing to look ridiculous when I put the 32s back on.

Are your rims on back order? I was told 4 weeks.

Let me know how they fit and if you get any rubbing.

I was told by 4wd.com to call back some time next week and they might know more. I have the tires on hold at the Firestone shop I hope the rims get here soon!!! So far I have only seen the ones with the machined lip. I haven't seen anyone with the all black version yet!

Default Update

FYI to all....

I just went for a quick 4x drive. First time since the wheel spacers and 33's.
The tires rub up inside the rear wheel well at full flex.

I guess I'll be adding a 2 inch BB as opposed to just a 3/4 leveling lift.
