We have them on my wife's suburban. OK on slick roads and loose gravel. I wouldn't trust it on the trail. The tread pattern just doesn't have sufficient bite to it. Much more of an on-road tire IMO.

My neighboor works at the Goodyear plant here in Nc and he was telling me how much they do suck as a tire in general. He is trying to get me to buy the BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A's. But being that the new shoes for my Jeep aren't those and are the Dick Cepek Crushers. He runs those and says he likes them for a daily driver and good off road all around tire. Don't know if it helped any but thats also third person knowledge as well..

No clear answer in the choices you gave. It all depends on what you are going to do. Sloppy mud and muck? Then no, the SAs suck. Light trail riding? Then yes, they'll work pretty good. Great street tires. That's what they were designed for. What the hell is with the last two selections? How is that constructive?

I'm running these on my jk. Outstanding on the street. One of the highest rated all terrains based on tirerack.com user surveys for snow and ice, etc. As with any all terrain, they are like glazed donuts in the thick mud that packs up. I've gone over some pretty steep inclines in the dry with zero slippage. They're fairly tough, ran over a couple of bottles hearing a "pop" to see no damage. Quieter that bfg ko's (have them on my xterra). Clean out better than my bfg ko's. Even though they pack up, haven't got stuck yet. I think one of the better tires for jk if your concerned with street safety as the jk isn't exactly known for "high speed emergency reactions" on the road. Would I buy again for a daily driver, yes.

They have a good on-road rep, and I'm sure they are ok on light trails, but obviously anything that requires real traction or has rocks will be an issue for performance and reliability.

Depends on how you intend to use the tire. Parameters for the need would have made the choices more meaningful.

Default How would you compare the SA's with the stock Goodyears?
