so i recently bought a steering stabelizer for my jeep that does not have a lift on it. I was getting a quote for new tires and told the guy about my SS and he instantly told me to return it and get the OE part from the dealer and not keep the rancho one. Anyone know the truth about this?

 

What was the reason for changing it in the first place was it leaking or did it have a lot of miles on it

 

It was leaking.

 

Never had good luck with Rancho shocks.

Haha okay that's what I needed to hear! I still can't get this damn bolt off. I've almost rounded it off it's on so tight. I don't have power tools for this stuff and I just can't get it loose! Any suggestions?

 

Use a dremmel and cut the bolt in two places to be able to get more leverage.

 

Vise grips as tight as you can. I get into the same problem and I have these friends that will never say never. If there are no rubber bushings use a torch to heat up the metal where the bolt goes in but don't heat the bolt. Maybe spray a little penetrating oil on it and let it sit. Hammer the bolt on the top hard to get it to stretch the threads and loosen it a hair. Then use a 6 point socket or box end wrench never an open end wrench. It take a bit of experience for that stuff. I've seen things I thought were impossible then a friend would go at it and 4 minutes later would claim victory. I just start rolling...LoL
