Default XHD stubby and winch question

Installed the bumper and smittybilt winch yesterday.

Anyone else have this set up?

Was your fit really tight? I could barely get the grille back on....and it will damn tough next time I have to remove the grille.

Was doing other mods at the same time that required it.

Here is mine: The wires are actually pinched up against the grille.

That looks similar to what happened to me the first time.

What I did:

It'll be a pain in the ass but you will have to unbolt the winch and feed the wires through first. BE VERY CAREFUL with one of the skinnier black wire (i think it's black...located in the bottom of the winch), I ripped mine off when I had to re-do it.

I don't remember, but you might even have to take the bumper off as well, feed wires though before tightening all bolts.

2nd option:
run the wires though the slots of the grill.

It took me 3 tries before I was satisfied.

Also:

If planning to run a hoop over rider, you will need to move the solenoid to the left and fabricate some sort of bracket to tilt it a few degrees so the remote will fit.

I will try to take photos and see if I can help you out.

Yeah, mine is tight in there also. Do you have the hoop for the bumper? If so, check and see if there is room for the plug to go in. My issue was the hoop was in the way so I bought 2 plumbing clamps, painted them black, slid the controller part back and then strapped it down.
