XRC Side Armor Install, would not do it again
I installed XRC side armor yesterday. If I understood what the install entailed I would have returned it for a refund. Its done now but what a PITA. It took about 6 hours to install.
The main issue is that 32 holes need to drilled in the body panels and rockers followed by installation of 32 nut-serts. The rear fenders and rockers went easily but front fenders were quite challenging. The main problem was that the fronts have 2 or even 3 layers of sheet metal at off-angles. It makes the drill wander so the holes in the outer skin end up as a slot by the time you get deep enough to fit the nutsert. If I had to do it again I might consider removing the fenders to install the armor panels rather than doing it on the vehicle. If you buy these XRC side armor kits leave a full day for the install and have a 17/32 drill bit and a stepped-unibit on hand.

You know most of the side armour is mounted that way so it doesn't matter what company you buy from. The majority of body arm is held on by screws & nut certs
Only way would've been to get armour through "trailskinz.com" His go on with marine adhesive.
