Default Yes, Another Bumper Thread

All, I am sorry for posting another bumper thread, but...here it is anyway.

I am planning to purchase both a front and rear bumper withing a couple of weeks and have a few questions. I am also looking for all of you to help me decide.

My criteria for choosing a bumper is:
1) I plan to remove the stock fenders and replace them with much smaller tube fenders in the future, so I am looking at stubby or mid bumpers.
2) I plan on purchasing the Warn Powerplant, so obviously the bumper would have to support this winch.
3) I would like the fog lights to be incorporated into the bumper, but this is not a "must have".
4) My intended use for my Jeep when finished is for rock crawling, so approach angles and departure angles are important.

Front Bumper Choices (I have come across so far):

LoD Jeep JK Signature Series Shorty
LoD Jeep JK Signature Series Shorty with Stinger
Shrockworks Mid-Width Front Bumper
Red Rock Fab JK Low-Profile Winch Hoop Front Bumper
BullDog JK Stubby Winch Mount Bumper

Orginally, I was going to get a Rock Hard Full Lenth Front Bumper, but since I have decided to replace the fenders it would look a bit silly.

For the rear bumper, I have it down to a couple of choices. I am interested in a bumper that can hold a storage rack and obviously a couple of jerry cans for the long trips, but I want them removeable for the short day trips.

Rear Bumper Choices:

Rock Hard Jeep JK Wrangler Rear Bumper
LoD Jeep JK Signature Series Rear Bumper

Any feedback on pros and cons, would be greatly appreciated. At this moment (which is bound to change in a minute), I am leaning towards the LoD Jeep JK Signature Series Shorty with Stinger and the Rock Hard Jeep JK Wrangler Rear Bumper.

Thanks

My concern with the LoD Jeep JK Signature Series Shorty is the approach angle, since it looks like to me it sticks out farther than some of the other choices.

Has anyone with this bumper, run into any problems with this issue? It appears to me that if your approaching a rock ledge/shelf your bound to hit the bumper, how does it hold up?

I just saw the red rock front last night. It looks great, but a powerplant will sit very high. May want to do some measuring, but i think it would look really good

Ya, that was one reason, I was more interested in the LoD bumper, the powerplant is lower than some other bumpers.

I usually hate all the stinger style bumpers, but the LoD shorty is the best looking one i've seen.

this one is hard to see the bumper

You should look at the Rugged Ridge Bumper. Fits the criteria you have and has many options!!!!!

I have though about rugged ridge, but I think I still like the LoD better. I do like your jeep though.

I also have wondered why some do or dont like stingers? Is it simply a matter of personnal preference or is there a functional reason?

Has anyone had any installation problems with any of these bumpers?

Also for those interested the LoD stubby bumper is 12 inches from the grill of the jeep to the front of the bumper.

This is the Hanson Stubby Winch Guard we have them in stock
It has brackets that allow you to mount your factory fog lights.

This is the same bumper after I changed my fenders and winch. I am running the Piaa 510's in the bumper now.

I have the Shrock Works mid bumper. I like the way the Warn Powerplant sits down in it. These a couple places on the side for sitting if you so desire.
