Default Yet another Flashpaq Question

For the record - I did search the forum on this question and couldnt find an answer.

When I update my Flashpaq over the Internet should I re-tune my Jeep as well? And why?

well ive read on here that if there is a update on the web. you should return you Jeep back to stock..update the tuner and then retune. I forgot which post that i read it on but if you do a web update on the tuner without returning it the jeep back to stock you can risk locking your flashpaq.. but dont qoute me..
i would recommend returning you jeep back to stock and then retune after the update. hopefully someone who knows more will chime and answer the question.

It depends on the changes the techs made to the code for the tuner. Usually when they release an update they will indicate, with faqs or a white-page, what the update changes. If the changes are important to you, or significant to the tune you are using, I would re-flash the new code to the ECU after updating. However, there is no need to return you vehicle to stock. When your tuner is VIN-locked to your vehicle, the stock settings stored in separate memory. The memory is unaffected by updates.

You could PM Scott@Superchips on this forum but I recall someone asking him this question in the past and he told them you do not have to set your vehicle back to stock before you do an update to your flashpaq

When you do contact him, ask him why they can't get us Daytime running lights on the fogs as an option too!! ProCal can do it.
