Default Your Adjustable Rancho Shock Settings?

What do you have dialed in on the front and back for street and for off-road?

I would say it's probably the most personal thing you could set on your rig. Test it out on all conditions, and make your own assessment.

I was running 3/5 on the street and 2/2 on the trails. I swapped my rear springs for 4458's, and my last trail run I forgot to stiffen the shocks back up and left them at 2/2. other than what seems to be a little more body roll (which could be my imagination) I like the softer ride vs. the stiffer suspension feeling.

Default mine are on

3 front / 4 rear, on stock springs seems good to me . I love the difference these shocks made over the rubicon factory ones

Before 4/3 or 3/3
Personal preference IMO

With the hardtop installed I run 5/5 on the street. With it off I run 3/3. If I'm towing, then I'll run 7/9.

Off-road varies tremendously. If I'm just cruising desert 2-tracks or mountain fire roads, I'll put them down to 1/1 for a magic-carpet ride. If I'm moving quickly on those roads, I'll bring them up to 7/7 to help damp body motions over whoop-do-doo's and keep off the bumpstops. On the Rubicon or other rockcrawling trails, I run them at 9/9 to help compensate for the tires being aired way down by stabilizing the body in off-camber sections and sharp dropoffs.

SO what does the hardtop do in order to change the ride? Are the hardtops really that heavy? I currently only have the backs done, and I'll do the fronts in 2 weeks when I can get back to it. I put them on 1 yesterday and I didn't feel much difference between the ranchos and the rubicons but I guess the ranchos will need some breaking in as well.

Magic carpet ride are the correct words I'm looking for. If ranchos don't do it then I guess I'm done with Jeeps. A Jeep would be good in any other city except for LA. So tired of riding a mechanical bull into work everyday at 4am.

Jeeps are great but the roads here are such crapola.

You will never have a ride quality one would call "magic carpet" ride. Which springs did you swap that I saw in your other thread?
