Default Yukon 4.88 Gears Question

A guy I work with has given me a set of 4.88 gears for my JK Sport that I'm bout to make payments on to him but had a concern that someone may be able to answer for me.

1. For my JK Sport with the Dana 30 and Dana 44, will a "Short Reverse Pinion" work in the Dana 30 and will "JK Rubicon" work for the Dana 44?

I run 35s on a 4.5 lift. Any info will help

Are the gears from a jeep JK? And from a non-rubicon?

If so, they will work. If they are not from a JK, they will not work. If they are from a JK rubicon, the rears will work, the fronts won't.

They are currently brand new in the box if that changes anything

The rear 44 gears should be fine, but do the fronts say they are d30 or d44? Do they specify they are for a JK? Are their specific part numbers listed?

The Dana 30 ring and pinion will be noticiably smaller in size than the 44. Here is a comparision photo...44 on left 30 on right

I know the front ones are for a D30 I'm just unsure of the whole "Short Reverse Pinion" part number is YUKYGD30SR-488JK

Looks like a Yukon D30 JK part number? You're good to go.

The front axles are high pinion, 'reverse rotation'. So gears that specify reverse are what you want.

These aren't for a JK, but they show the difference in the way the gears rotate.
