Well, I finally caught the Mrs. looking the other way and pulled the trigger on regearing the Rubicon. The shop ordered the parts today and will install next week!!

 

Congrats! Can't wait for the economy crunch to be over so do gears and lockers.

 

I just had mine installed last week .......So sweet ,I have been easy on them for the brake-in period but man I want to hammer on it.

 

If the wife finds out I spent the money, she will give a new meaning to "economic crunch".

I just couldn't take the lose of power any longer!!

 

Do you have an automatic? I see you have 35s... I also had 35s and 4.10s, but I was only able to deal with it about a week before I had 5.13s swapped in. Best mod yet. Made my Jeep feel like I had another 50hp. I don't have to ride my brakes in parking lots anymore either.

 

I have the 6 speed. I definitely know what you mean about riding the brake (especially in reverse).

My JK supposed to be ready tomorrow with 5.13's, frt locker, evo gussets and skids. I've been on 35's for 25,000m with 4.10's, I'm ready for a change. Past ready actually.
