Default Yup another 15" wheel question

Ok so like many others before me im trying to decide if i should go with 15's.

I know there are a bunch of threads on this topic already but what I havent seen is if anyone has actually compared the weight of a 15" steel rim running a 35 to a 17" aluminum running the same brand 35 inch tire.

I know there are caliper issues with some 15's and the correct BS solves that. Im just trying to see the real weight difference between the 2. Someone had told me there 35 km2's on a 17 stock is about 92 lbs, anyone running that tire on a 15?

Yup, but you can have the best of both worlds. Why not just get a 15" aluminum rim? Problem solved

My 35x12.50-15 KM2's are great, they were $208 each from Discount Tire Direct, with no shipping, and no sale's tax...! I had to grind on my front caliper cradles to get the 15x8" 4" B.S. Soft 8's to work, but it was well worth it.

Thanks for the help guys. The price difference in going with 15's was just too much to NOT look into them.

Thanks again!

Running spacers will eliminate the caliber rub issue correct?

I too am looking to purchase 35s and debating whether getting new tires and 15"wheels since I already have spacers

I am running 15's with 4" BS and it took a little gringing but they fit nice and no steering stop adjustment was needed with 35's

No need for grinding, especially if you're purchasing from Discount Tire. Their MB72 polished alloy rim fits like a glove. About $90/wheel. Discount Tire put them on my Sahara along with 35 KM2's about a month ago. Made a trip up into the mountains cruising along at about 70 with no issues. Great wheel and tire from a great company.

We just did a test fit with the MB Razor in a 15x8 -19mm offset and they clear without issues. (no spacers or grinding required) We also Test fit the 15x8 -19mm MB Chaos 5 and the 16x8.5 -6mm MB Chaos 5 and they both fit as well without issues.

Take a look at this for some more steel vs alum. comparisons: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...highlight=mb72

I'll have some pictures up of the test fits we just did next week.
