Hello everyone! My name is Andy and I just got my first jeep this past Christmas. It is a 2015 firecracker red Wrangler Unlimited 6 speed. Anyone else here from southern maine? I'm curious about how much modifying we can actually get away with in maine. Would love a lift and bigger tires, but don't really want to get hassled or not be able to get an inspection sticker.

The only thing I have ever been hassled about is tires hanging outside my fenders. 37" tires, 3.5 inch lift.

 

I like in Portsmouth, NH and work in Kittery, ME. I have a 3" lift, 35s and narrow fenders and haven't been bothered yet. Spend a lot if my free my time driving around southern Maine since it's more scenic.

 

I'm now sitting on a 3" lift and 35's. So far the local cops haven't even batted an eye at it. I just try not to drive like a dink.
