Hey Mike how's your cracked rib doin' these days??

That's at least one bone I haven't broken yet.
Hurt to laugh or sneeze????? Or is that over with?

I can't wait for the 3rd
Yeah - we had one of the strongest state-specific threads for awhile, and now it looks like the "newness" of the site/JKs has worn off and people are abandoning us here, Chopper.

Thanks for asking - my rib actually healed up really well. I'd say I'm at 98% now, and well past the laugh/cough/sneeze/deep breath pain. It's a bit uncomfortable at times, but nothing worth bitching about.

Can't wait for the 3rd either - it's going to be a blast. I haven't been keeping count, but I wouldn't be surprised to see over 10 Jeeps there. Have you had a chance to wheel your LJ yet, or will this be your first "big" offroad excursion?

Yeah MJS, this will be the first "true "wheeling that I will have done so far.
I mean, I've had a couple of little romps
through a hairy area or two, but nothing worth posting. My ride hasn't seen actual trail yet.

I'm planing on bringing my tools with me, but I'm gonna have to find some way of strapping
down the box. Because I'm fearfull that the freakin' thing will get tossed around like a cork on the water.

I have to buy an antenna for my CB, and just jurry rig it for now.
Although I wonder how many of us will even have CBs in their rigs?

This thought had occured to me as well....Maybe we could meet up at the meadows parking lot since it's right off of RT-91.
Then we could fly up from there.

MJS...Maybe you should pick the time since you have the best idea as to how long it will take to get to tolland, so we make it on time.

Last time, there was no more than one CB... I think Scott said he'd bring his, so at least the two of you will have 'em.

As far as your tools go, I really wouldn't go too overboard with stuff - the trail's not THAT bad (but then again, better safe than sorry, I suppose). If you DO bring more than just your essential tools, let me make the suggestion that you not only strap them down, but also throw some rags, etc. in with them to keep them from rattling around and driving you nuts - the trail is definitely bumpy enough that you'd be insane by trail's end!

I posted on the dedicated Tolland thread: while I'd be glad to lead you guys up to Tolland, I don't want to meet away from my place, because I'm positioned nicely for a backroads drive up to Tolland... you're both welcome to meet me near my place and follow me up. Let me know.

I bought a hand held for my nephew, and JeepJunky may have his installed by now, so we just might have an honest-to-goodness, 70's style convoy!

Awww - now I feel all left out! No fair making fun of those of us without CBs on the run!

"Breaker breaker, this is Hound-dog - y'all see MJS up there, killing those rocks?"

"10-4, Hound-dog - this is Wee Willy Wiggler - yeah, I see him - look at 'im, thinkin' he's all cool with his little almost-stock Jeep. Hmmmph. 10-4 good buddy - over and out."

I am down for meeting up with you at the dodge if you want just name a time, I am horrible at setting times.

I am going to try and hook up a cb my brother has laying around as long as he says its cool I might as well take it

You DID see my offer to have you guys find me near home and follow me up, right? Given the choice between driving up on highways or driving the way that I go, trust me: You'll like my way a lot better.
