Maybe the reason is because he knows stuff about his past that you have yet to find out 
and for the record, when he bought the 442 (I'm gonna sound old here but...) things were a bit different back then.
As for the tires do you still have the old stuff, or did you sell them to offset the cost of the new ones?
What I'm getting at is if you sold them and got a good price just remind him that because of doing that the new stuff didn't really cost all that much. (I'm sure you probably do, but it doesn't matter in his eyes).

My stock wheels are on right now, salt and crap doesn't like chrome to well. So it's not like I threw them out, if anything I'm getting double miles out of them.

and its not a "regular" 07 it is a SAHARA, something that you are trying to make your dump "X" look like. as for the bling...i heard that you had a very "femine side" and we all still like you, even if you are..uh.....gay
