Your setup is fine for Mabell. Just know that no matter what, you will bang and scrape. It's just part of it.

well normally i just shoot videos from my phone and upload them with no editting. clearly i cant do that with my gopro shoots since i left the camera running all day. what do you guys recommend for editting? im too lazy to do anything fancy, i just want to trim the video down

I use iMovie on my Mac. Simple program, gets the job done. It will take a long time to load the footage though if it's one long file. The longest file I had was like 26 minutes and it took almost 45 minutes to load up for editing.
