Trail Scouting
I'm going to be scouting out some trails this Sat. morning and early afternoon in Russell and Huntington (near Westfield) if anybody would like to join me. I found a few spots by driving by then checking google earth if they could have any potential. If all else fails and these trails suck, I'm going to take a quick trip up to Mabell and play around up there. It would be nice to have company incase I try something stupid by myself and get stuck.
I'm thinking earlier then last time, probably leave Friendly's around 9:30-10ish (yes, I always have breakfast there on Sat. mornings). I want to finnish earlier in the day just because Shanna gets out of work in the early afternoon and we usually do something after that.
i would go but my buddy is coming down from umass on sat and were heading down to NY for the auto show.
hopefully MAbell works out, ive heard good things and would love to hit it up at some point.
i am however meeting my friend from school on the way back from NYC in southbury, he said there's a pretty decent spot near his house down that way, i looked at it on Google earth with him and it looks fun. ill let you guys know how that turns out.

Sean did u end up going out? I'm down for the next time you go out scouting. I drove straight back from NYC today so I skipped on the trail my buddy from school wanted to show me but I'm sure ill make it down that way soon enough to see whats good with it.
I did do some scouting and found an awsome trail in Huntington, I'm not sure if it's long enough to bring a big group out yet because I didn't do the whole trail, it's also not, definetly not, stock tire capable. I also went up to Mabell and that to was amazing. I would have to say that for both trails, 31's at's or mt's are a must, and even then, you won't be able to airdown without smacking your diffs on everything in Mabell. I had maybe a centimeter of clearance on several rocks that are completely unavoidable.

I also have some videos from Mabell that I'm uploading now. Here's a couple.

We have to plan a trip at least to Mabell soon, that was a rush to say the least.
