Vermont Vacation
You should probably be looking for Class 4 roads at:
AOT-Mapping: Town Highway Maps
or pick up a Delorme for Vermont. I'd be surprised if someone is just going to tell you where their favorite trails are.

A word of caution - nearly all of these maps are pre-Irene. The Class 4 roads in the town that I know best (in mid VT - well south of your destination) are marked on the map as impassable "--u--" on the maps. Pre-Irene some of these were driveable in a Wrangler. From recent hiking experience - offroad trails that could be driven are now impassable
. Burlington area may be better off as it was not as badly hit. My best advice (which sadly doesn't amount to much) would be to sweet talk a local into guiding you. Good luck, and have a great vacation!

not really.. you can find some trails they're usually through private land. I will PM you with a local group that I know of but for the life of me can't think of the name right now.
