16.5V-18V at Battery 14.5v on Pioneer Radio Display
2012JK manual
Battery boiled.. swapped battery with brand new one.
Hooked up Reading 16.5-18V at the battery with the multimeter
I have a Pioneer double din which gives vehicle data it shows voltage as 14.5 when the multimeter is reading 16.5
Any thoughts?
I disconnected LED tail lights, and winch same issue.

If you're reading 16.5-18v at the battery then there's something seriously wrong with the battery or your multimeter. What kind of multimeter are you using? 14.5-14.7 wouldn't be unusual for charging....though it should be stepped down before hitting the radio.

Sorry for being off topic. Maybe you or somebody else can help me. I'm searching for a new stereo. I've been reading reviews about Pioneer decks but they are useless hype. All the positives are covered and they rarely mention the drawbacks. The DMH-1500NEX head unit landed on my short list. From all the blogs that I've read one stood out. The blogger was hyper critical about all brands and put me on the fence. Well this DMH-1500NEX review was OK until I've reached the shortcomings section. Does it really take 30s to load? How hard is to install these units anyways?
Any tips?
